USA : Cabela's announces realignment of Executive Team

Cabela's Incorporated, the World's Foremost Outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear announced organizational changes designed to better align the Company's business units with its multi-channel strategy.

"Taking full advantage of Cabela's powerful multi-channel business model requires the steady and experienced leadership of a knowledgeable and well-trained group of executives," said Dennis Highby, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cabela's. "These changes will best leverage the extensive experience and knowledge of Cabela's management team as we plan for the future."

Michael Callahan, currently Senior Vice President of Retail Operations, will assume the new title of Senior Vice President of Business Development and International Operations. Mr. Callahan will be responsible for Cabela's Canadian operations, mergers and acquisitions and industry and government relations.

Mr. Callahan has been with Cabela's for nearly 18 years, serving in a number of capacities, and has 32 years of experience in the sporting goods industry. As Senior Vice President of Retail Operations, Mr. Callahan oversaw the expansion of Cabela's retail footprint from nine to 26 stores, with retail sales growing from $400 million to approximately $1 billion.

Brian Linneman, currently Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, has been named Senior Vice President of Global Supply Chain and Operations. Mr. Linneman will add merchandise planning, inventory control, the Company's outdoors adventures unit, and customer relations to his current duties, bringing Cabela's supply chain under his leadership.

Mr. Linneman has been with Cabela's since 1999, starting with the Company as Corporate Logistics Manager. Before coming to Cabela's, Mr. Linneman served in a management capacity during his 12-year tenure with United Parcel Service.

Pat Snyder, currently Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing, will take on the additional responsibility of retail operations. As Senior Vice President of Merchandising, Marketing and Retail Operations, he will guide the growth of Cabela's retail division, further integrating the Company's retail and direct business channels.

Mr. Snyder began his successful career with Cabela's in 1981, rising through the ranks of the merchandising department to his current position of Senior Vice President. While serving in various management positions within the Company, he has been instrumental in growing Cabela's from a small catalog company into a $2 billion multi-channel business.
