Singapore Changi Airport’s new Terminal 3 opened on January 9, right on schedule. The same day saw the opening of new outlets operated by Nuance-Watson (Singapore) across the terminal: six “Perfume & Cosmetics” stores, the first ever “FIFA Official Store”, the first “Marc O’Polo” fashion store to open outside Europe and a “Tosto” Italian coffee shop, the first introduction of the concept outside Italy.

Just months after having been awarded one of the most coveted concessions for a key international hub, Nuance-Watson (Singapore) proudly presents six new “Perfumes & Cosmetics” shops covering a total of 1,459 square metres, to complement its existing offer at Singapore Changi Airport: a landside check-in store already introduced to the public on November 12, when the terminal had its “Open House”; a central Mega store and two satellite-wing shops in the terminal’s departures area; and two arrival stores.

The breathtaking new design of the stores appeals to the senses: Sight - the clean, fresh, white store décor with subtle splashes of the signature pink and intermittent, colourful displays of visuals and promotions create excitement and curiosity; Scent - travellers are spoilt for choice by the large array of international as well as niche fragrance brands; Touch - travellers can enjoy pampering mini beauty treatments, quick makeovers or even play with the “Michael Edwards’ Fragrance Finder” an easy-to-navigate interactive software programme allowing users to gain insight into the components of their favourite scent or to help them with gift. Nuance-Watson is the first company to introduce the programme in Singapore.

End of the 70’s and beginning of the 80’s: this is where the inspiration of the stylist Eliza Conde comes from for 2008 winter, which brings romanticism with touches of elegance and glamour.

As still being in Woodstock, women wear long and wide dresses and pants with large bottoms. Miniskirt also divides space with overalls, cloaks, smocks and coats.

The collection is punctuated by tailor pieces and patchwork details. Among the materials used, Eliza Conde chose the cotton, wool, tweed, silk and velvet.

Maxi size knitting was used in cardigans and vests. Prints prioritized small flowers, stripes and plaid. The palette of colors had blue, yellow, ocher, coffee, burgundy, violet, red and skin color, among others.

Global : Smaller sunshades to rule this season

January 11, 2008

The big-sized sun-glasses are rapidly being replaced by the smaller-style frames which are ‘in’ for the season.

There’s a huge rage among fashionistas about these slimmer and elegant looking sun shades which can be brilliantly complemented by a variety of hats.

These smaller frames are being quickly picked off the shelves while the bigger glasses will have to wait till the next trend creeps in.

Even Paris Hilton has dumped the huge glasses to opt for the catchy trend of this summer season.

However, the smaller sun-glasses may not provide as good a protection as the larger ones but since they are ‘in’, there’s no stopping the trend followers.

USA : Tiffany Bubbles to produce jewels of exquisite lightness

January 12, 2008

Tiffany & Co spreads dramatic and awesome diamonds in three of its most popular jewellery collections, Tiffany Lace, Tiffany Jazz and Tiffany Bubbles, displaying not just its well known in design prowess but also one other often overlooked secret…that the hardest substance diamond, is the best expression of one's most tender emotions.

Under its magical spell the delicacy of lace is transformed into filigree-like jewels in its Tiffany Lace collection and into jewels of lyrical artistry inspired by the beauty of jazz in its Jazz collection.

On the other hand, it indulges in the unusual by capturing and recreating the effervescent charm of bubbles in one of its most joyful collections, Tiffany Bubbles.

All three collections feature light and delightful jewels blending platinum and diamonds - exquisitely crafted necklaces, chains, earrings, pendants, bracelets and rings.

"All three lines from Tiffany capture the delicate charm of everyday details such as lace and bubbles as well as the haunting beauty of jazz music, to produce jewels of exquisite lightness.

In these splendid collections, the wearer will discover her most subtle emotions echoed beautifully. These pieces make perfect accessories for daily wear and so are ideally suited for the working woman.

She can now adorn herself with jewels from one of the most well known design houses of all time, in truly inspired creations," said Pegah Goldooz, General Manager of Tiffany & Co in the UAE.

Bubbles of joy!:
One of Tiffany's most joyful collections, the Tiffany Bubbles collection freezes the transient and effervescent sparkle of bubbles, recreating their perfect spheres and sparkling transparency with aplomb in platinum and diamond necklaces, earrings, pendants and bracelets.

For instance its band ring which displays a unique placement of diamonds, at seeming random on platinum wire bands, splendidly captures the impression of floating bubbles. The necklace is a ring of undulating brilliants which winsomely drape around the lucky wearer's neck.

In this collections' earrings, starring alongside diamonds are a host of other gems too, such as rubies, pink and blue sapphires, and the very rare tsavorite, a green gemstone.
