Global Fashion: From Sexy Lingerie To Warming Furs & Leather

The international economic and financial crisis now has the global textile and clothing market firmly in its clutches. In China last month whole series of textile and clothing firm had to fold. The largest Chinese consumer goods fair in Canton posted a drop in export orders of a good 30%.

The textile and clothing business in numerous high-consuming European countries has been paralysed since last summer if not before, prompting those supplying the clothing industry and large retail forms to revise their sourcing cycles, volume and regions even more stringently. A partial re-orientation is on the cards in many sourcing companies and new suppliers from other countries are being tested. Alongside new regions in Asia, Eastern Europe and especially North Africa are now moving more strongly into focus due to their greater market proximity, great flexibility and lower batch sizes per style.

Global Fashion remains Europe’s leading fair for sourcing, private label and contract manufacturing when it comes to seeking new sourcing areas in the fashion business. Held once again in parallel to CPD and HMD from 1 to 3 February 2009 this special fair will this time be hosted in Hall 5. Once again it offers international sourcing management from both trade and industry a comprehensive kaleidoscope of companies from throughout the world. With 320 exhibitors from 20 countries Global Fashion presents a comprehensive range of companies and countries. This time exhibitors come from Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Canada, Egypt, Germany, Great Britain, India, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macao, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, the People’s Republic of China including Hong Kong, Portugal, Serbia, Taiwan and the Ukraine.

Companies from Serbia and Morocco attending for the First Time
Amongst those celebrating their premiere this time at Global Fashion are companies from Serbia and Morocco. They enhance the new ‘Global Exclusive’ segment launched at the July 2008 event. The Serbian Chamber of Commerce will be presenting six companies as part of a joint stand. These firms produce women’s and men’s clothing and wish to score points with buyers from trade and industry with short and flexible delivery times, competitive prices, good value for money, good quality thanks to state-of-the-art technology and staff with great know-how.

With four companies the Moroccan clothing association A.M.I.T.H. will also be exhibiting in the fashion metropolis on the Rhine for the first time now. The ranges of these firms demonstrate the wide choice of manufacturing segments the Moroccan clothing industry has to offer. For instance, Cabilux covers almost the entire clothing range – from nightwear and homewear through to women’s wear, children’s wear and men’s sportswear. Dounitex is specialised in shirts and blouses, complemented by pyjamas and corporate clothing.

'Its Time To Change Our Wardrobe' Apparel Trends Forecast - 2009/10

Hardly a month has lapsed, since the dawn of 2009. As per the adage, "Ever-changing is the unchangeable law", apparel segment is not an exemption. Whether or not, we are conscious about the fact, our everyday decision of what to wear depends to a considerable extent on the current apparel trends. Generally two basic facts fuel the change in apparel trends; novelty and conformity. Everyone likes to wear something new, and simultaneously, many of us like to keep pace with our traditional attires as well. While there is no crystal ball to have an appropriate forecast, runways, and ramp shows can be helpful in predicting the trends.

This year will see vibrant and dynamic shades and apparel patterns which does not have a trace of the previous year. On the contrary, a few other trends emerge, which will pull out old clothes from the back of the closet. Colors themes revolve around jewel tones and tinted neutrals. Natural fabrics like organic cotton in hues of vanilla to a hint of deep blue will be seen. Simultaneously, rich and vivid colors ranging from red, gold, to black with an Eastern influence will also be in fad. Womenswear is filled with darkened decorum and floral patterns. Menswear is getting a feminine makeover in delicate fabrics. Shawl collars, and asymmetrical hems will put a twist on every piece of clothing.

Apparel colors are more of neutrals. Hues of mineral and stone provide a solid and natural base with solar orange and hot pink. Pink or magenta will be the color of the year. Followed by this will be the combination of black and white. Bordeaux, aubergine, and deep purples will also be seen of fashionable attires. Fuchsia red will be a great shade for cool skin tones. Skits, shirts and day dresses will be seen in bold colors to soft hues. Tunics and dresses will be seen in gorgeous designs and bold colors. Basics like skirts and pants will be in soft neutrals paired with new spring colors.

The old 'mix-and-match' look will make a re-entry. The secret of dressing well and also in a reasonable small budget depends on the choice of wardrobe with coordinated colors, and shapes that are interchangeable. Ensembles such as skirt, and pant sets allows mixing and matching, making a perfect capsule of clothing for oneself. A basic bottom with new tops or shirts will give a completely different look each day. This will give an unpretentious and remarkable appearance.

Apparels with floral prints will be in full bloom, this year, especially this spring and fall. Floral outfits are the best to welcome the season of spring. Frocks with crisp lines and bold shoulders will bring back the 'dynasty days'. For women who are fond of ethereal styles, goddess frocks with floral prints will be seen in store racks. An imbalance in neck to the hemline will be seen.

Watches From HAUTLENCE With Masculine & Rugged Looks

HAUTLENCE, one of the most coveted Swiss luxury watch brands, highlights its amazing evolution with the introduction of the HLS Collection. The new HLS01, HLS02 and HLS03 models are more masculine and rugged than the previous models but show originality in every detail. These models are interpretations of a strong and unique concept that takes watch making technology a step further.

The latest HLS timepieces have rubber straps and brushed steel which gives them a more contemporary look. The uniqueness in telling time using these instruments lies in the double device of a jumping hour coupled with a retrograde minute display which creates a three-dimensional timekeeping experience all within a distinctive case.

The small seconds hand is in a little dial at 5 o’clock while the intriguing rods, evocative of yesterday’s trains, drive the jumping hour. When the minute hand reaches 60 minutes, a device activated by a central spiral causes the end of the rod to arm a small spring with an inertia block that, in turn, drives the rotation of the hour disc. The HLS01, HLS02 and HLS03 models are produced in the limited edition of only 88 pieces and come in titanium, white gold and pink gold with alligator straps and rubber bands. The watches are water resistant to 50 metres and have sapphire crystals.

In tune with the HAUTLENCE philosophy, these timepieces are built around the caliber and follow the best Swiss watchmaking tradition keeping the overall design in the minimalist style. The exterior components then receive their punches and finishes, which make each case a totally unique product. Soft and aggressive, elegant and original, futuristic and provocative in its design, , the HLS01, HLS02 and HLS03 are syntheses of art and advanced technology, travelling along the boundary where beauty and strength merge.

Camisole Sets - Sexy Lingerie At Its Best ! ! !

A new trend in wearing camisole tops as outerwear is partly responsible for camisole sets enjoying a surge of recent popularity. Camisole sets, like many sexy lingerie items, have a rich and varied history. Provided here is a brief look at the history of camisole sets.

Chemises Besides loincloths, chemises are perhaps the oldest known form of underwear for both men and women. Historically, chemises were long, simple pieces that were worn underneath the clothes of both men and women, beginning in the medieval era. Although chemises never really disappeared until the early 20th century, changing fashions required variants on the chemise to be created. Perhaps the biggest changes in the history of lingerie occurred with the rise of the corset.

Of Corsets and Camisoles Corsetry began in the Renaissance period, when straight, boyish figures went out of fashion and décolletage became the new ideal. Corsets of this era were fairly rudimentary and fit easily underneath the chemises of the time. As corsetry became more elaborate and dress styles changed, however, it was necessary to find a garment that would hide the corset without adding unwanted bulk. The solution was the camisole. Camisole sets, however, were far in the future.

By the Victorian era, a tiny waist and large bosom were considered the height of fashion. This effect was achieved through the tight lacing of heavy corsets. However, traditional chemises were quite long, effectively hiding the corset but adding the illusion of weight. The new camisoles, by contrast, were short and light. They easily hid corsets but were not bulky. Camisoles quickly joined chemises as must-have fashion items. As modern panties had not yet been invented, however, camisole sets were not yet available.

Teddies Thanks to the increasing athleticism of young women at the turn of the 20th century, bloomers became extremely popular. Meanwhile, corsets were no longer in fashion due to mounting concerns over possible health risks. In this climate, the teddy was born. Teddies could be considered the earliest example of camisole sets. At that time, teddies were one-piece garments featuring a camisole attached to a pair of baggy shorts.

The 1920s The flapper era of the 1920s was a time for increased liberation for many women. This era marks the beginning of the sexy lingerie age. As teddies became shorter, tighter and sexier, some designers experimented with separating the two pieces. This was the beginning of modern camisole sets.
