USA : 4.38 carat diamond surfaces at CDSP

Chad Johnson a regular visitor of the Crater of Diamonds State Park (CDSP) has found nearly 80 diamonds in the past so many years.

On November 5, Mr Chad came across yet another diamond and this time it was the biggest stone among his previous findings.

Although it initially looked like a cube-shaped rock, it was actually turned out to be a 4.38 carat, tea-colored diamond.

Crater of Diamonds State Park was made open to the public in 1972. It is by far the only diamond producing site allowing public not only to unearth diamonds but also to take home their findings.

A 16.37 carat Amarillo Starlight white diamond found in 1975 is so far the largest diamond found at the park and this year, discovery of more than 700 diamonds have been recorded.
