Supermodel Gisele Bundchen to do London Fog fall campaign

Iconix Brand Group announced that international supermodel, Gisele Bundchen will appear in its London Fog brand's fall marketing campaign. The multi-media marketing campaign will debut in October issues of fashion, lifestyle and entertainment magazines, outdoor billboards and online.

Bundchen poses seductively in only a London Fog coat appearing noticeably pregnant. This is the first campaign the supermodel has appeared in since news of her pregnancy broke. The campaign was created by the Iconix in-house marketing team and shot by fashion photographer, Nino Munoz at Smashbox Studios in West Hollywood in mid July.

Dari Marder, Chief Marketing Officer, London Fog, commented, "Nobody is sexier or more beautiful than Gisele Bundchen in nothing but a London Fog trench coat, even with her visible baby bump. This London Fog campaign features a classic portrait of Gisele in an iconic London Fog trench; it is a very fitting image for this timeless brand." Marder added, "Although Gisele was photographed while pregnant, most of the shots have been retouched to respect her privacy during this wonderful and personal time in her life."

Bundchen wears London Fog outerwear in the campaign. Additional London Fog products featured in the campaign include cold weather accessories, footwear, handbags, luggage, home, eyewear and umbrellas. Bonnie Wright & Max Rogers lend their support for ethical fashion

Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright and Model Max Rogers have turned out to show their support for Pure London’s ethical brands. Bonnie Wright, who plays Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter movies, will be hosting the MADE-BY stand, along with other teen acting sensation Georgia Groom. MADE-BY is a not-for-profit labelling organisation which works with fashion brands to make sustainability common practice. Bonnie is a rising style icon and keen fashion enthusiast who is eager to show her support.

Katydid girls clothing line creates punky phrases

In addition to her successful women's clothing, handbag, and accessories label, designer Katy Messersmith introduces girls' T-shirts and tanks to the Katydid Collection brand this summer.

"My women's tops have been such a big hit, that a matching children's collection was a natural step," says the 32-year old Texas native. "Whether a little girl wants to match her mom, or just stand out on the playground, these styles are perfect for fashion-savvy kids."

The designs are a mini version of Katy's wildly-popular women's tattoo-inspired tees and tanks. The tops feature popular motifs - crosses, crowns, fleur-de-lis - embellished with clear and colorful crystals. Some styles also include punky phrases such as "Rock Angel" and "Rebel at Heart" in bold lettering across the front.

Currently, the collection has ten tees and five tanks for little girls' size four to ten. Each cotton tee, is machine washable and made in the USA.

Banyak sekali yang menghubungi saya untuk bertanya gimana caranya menjadi model muslimah, mudah mudahan kali ini saya bisa menjawab sedikit keingin tahuan teman teman, kalo emang kita berminat jadi model muslimah, beberapa hal perlu dipersiapkan ..




1. Niat


Sebaiknya diniatkan untuk berdakwah, menyiarkan kepada wanita muslimah bahwa memakai busana muslim juga cantik dan menarik, tidak harus memamerkan keindahan kulit tubuh kita.. seandainya setelah melihat kita kemudia orang menjadi terinspirasi untuk mengenakan busana muslimah, pastilah kita mendapatkan pahala, insya Allah.




2. Cari Sekolah Model


Banyak lembaga pendidikan model, dan kita bisa memilah milah mana yang baik untuk kita, bahkan peragawati terkenal seperti Ratih Sanggarwati, Okky Asokawati yang saat ini telah mengenakan jilbab, memiliki lembaga pendidikan modelling, mungkin jika kita punya budget yang cukup, silahkan belajar disana, kalo temen temen mau belajar basic modelling untuk model muslimah insya Allah bersedia menularkan sedikit ilmu yang pernah saya peroleh semasa muda... ( hehe sekarang sudah tua)




3. Mengikuti Kontes Model


Sebaiknya teman teman muslimah juga pandai memilah kompetisi semacam ini, usahakan yang benar benar syari, kalo bisa tanya panitianya apa ada penonton laki lakinya, sebaiknya dikurangi bahkan dihindari, bukankan kita berdakwah untuk wanita muslimah, jadi yang menonton baiknya pun wanita muslimah. Kalo ga salah pernah dulu mbak Ratih pernah waktu mengadakan event TOP MODEL MUSLIMAH , pemilihan model muslimah yang diadakan beberapa kota juga pernah meminta penonton yang pria keluar ruangan, kalo ga salah dengar begitu, mudah mudahan tidak keliru, seandainya keliru mohon maaf ya mbaak...




4. Menyiapkan Foto Diri


Setidaknya kita memiliki foto diri, foto yang kita butuhkan untuk menunjukkan bahwa kita adalah seorang model, gunakan make up natural, baju yang tidak terlalu rame dan background foto yang simple agar pencari model bisa lebih fokus dengan foto diri kita.




5. Portfolio


Foto foto yang kita punya ketika mengikuti kontes model, atau muncul di suatu majalah, tabloid atau media cetak lainnya sebaiknya kita kumpulkan dan susun yang rapi, portfolio tersebut akan kita butuhkan saat melamar suatu pekerjaan yang membutuhkan talent model muslimah

Untuk yang satu ini, kita harus jelas kontrak dengan agency, sampaikan bahwa kita tidak bisa melanggar beberapa tawawran kerjasama yang tidak sesuai dengan syariat , misalkan harus membuka jilbab, mengiklankan sesuatu yang diharamkan oleh agama dan lain lain, jadi sangat hati hati, banyak sekali godaaan di dunia modellling. Jika Desainer busana yang akan kita kenakan adalah laki laki usahakan desainer tersebut merelakan kita mengenakan baju dengan asistennya yang perempuan, dll. jangan sampai kita tidak bisa menolak hal hal yang bertentangan dengan hati terlebih syariat kita.




Mungkin ini dulu yang bisa saya sampaikan , insya Allah akan saya tambahkan setiap saat.
