Tabloid Brazenly Claims: Angelina Jolie's Twins Have Down Syndrome!

Look. We love celebrity gossip. It's what we do. Rumors can be just as fun to discuss as real news, even if we know they're just that - rumors.

There's a line between fun gossip and flat-out slander, however, don't you agree? To that end, Star may have just outdone itself/hit a new low.

How is that even possible? A new cover story on Angelina Jolie and her twins, Vivienne and Knox, alleging they have a serious mental disability:

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE TWINS is not contained here at all.

Basically, the magazine makes up utter nonsense about Angelina Jolie's twins, which is to be expected. To a point. "Down Syndrome Drama" is not a laughing matter.


Few things are more depressing and sad for families than Down Syndrome, a very serious and debilitating condition. Making light of it to boost sales?

That's just low, even for you, Star.

Hopefully next week, the tabloid will return to its less-offensive roots with some ridiculousness about Jennifer Aniston carrying Brad Pitt's alien love child.

Well, regardless of how you feel about Angelina Jolie, she is the mother of six kids. She says mothers need to “cherish” every minute they have with their children. Who would argue with that?

“Just enjoy every minute of it because it goes so fast and it is the best time in your life. And strap them to you and hang out with them and sleep in the same bed with them and just love every second of it.”

It does go by so fast, doesn’t it? Angelina said part of the reason she agreed to star in ‘The Tourist’ with Johnny Depp was because of the opportunity it would give her kids.

“You just have to focus on the positive side. I got to spend two months in Venice filming which no one gets to do, with a co-star who’s so lovely, so it’s all hard to say no to.
“We make a point to stay together as a family when we’re filming, in this town you’ve got to. We take turns working so everybody packed up and went to Venice.
“I think some people are affected by fame, I’m lucky that I have a lot of kids who keep me very, very grounded.”

Angelina and Brad Pitt do seem to make the most of the opportunities that come their way as actors for their kids, don’t they?

A friend of Justin's named "jonmchu" posted the following TwitPic yesterday, claiming it was snapped when Bieber met Jolie on the red carpet. But we question its legitimacy. After all, how can any female stand next to this 16-year old and maintain her composure in such a manner?!?

Justin didn't mind the snub. At the event, he Tweeted:

It's official, apparently. In Touch hath declared that the seventh child of the celebrity world's golden couple is on the way. At some point. Possibly.

Congratulations!!!!

LUCKY 7: Hey, at least they didn't say she's pregnant. Claiming Brangelina "set a date" to bring home their next child leaves things much more open-ended.

British film critic David Thomson basically went NUTS on Hollywood this morning. The ­Editor of The Biographical Dictionary Of Film ripped apart almost every A-lister I can think of during an interview with The Daily Mail. Here is just a sample of what he had to say about today’s top celebs:

• HUGH JACKMAN: He is hot (I suppose). Now, he just needs to be interesting.
• KEIRA KNIGHTLEY: She is ­astonishingly beautiful. But Keira is about as interesting as a creme brulée where too much refrigeration has killed flavor with ice burn. She is still more credible as a faintly animated photographer’s model than as an actress.
• BEN AFFLECK: On one hand I have always had a soft spot for Affleck. But my other view is that he is boring, ­complacent and criminally lucky to have got away with everything so far.
• BRAD PITT: Hardly anything he touches now is less than ‘precious’ and ‘awesome’ — it can’t be long before he begins to look very tired.
• HILARY SWANK: In nearly everything she has done, she has been pretty, dull, ordinary and incapable of lifting the film clear of a sanctimonious mud.
• JENNIFER ANISTON: She’s in her 40s now and her £5 ­million-a-movie career ­cannot go on for much longer. But rather in the manner of Doris Day, while one can make gentle fun of Jennifer Aniston, it’s hard to dislike her.

Angelina Jolie has been keeping it classy on the red carpet. She’s never really one to rock a ton of color, but I would love to see her in something bright or floral. Unfortunately, I doubt that’s in her game plan. Black, white and beige seem to be her safe zone.

Is Brangelina trying to give the Duggar’s a run for their money? Angelina Jolie was on Larry King Live this week and told Larry that she and Brad haven’t ruled out more kids!

The Tourist star said that while they have “no plans at the moment,” to add any more kids to their already large brood, she and Brad haven’t decided against it.

“But we’re always open [to the idea],”

She also said that when she and Brad are out with the kids they try to hide from the paps, and make it as normal for the kids as possible;

“Well, we try not to get them into the middle of it,” she explained. “We try to get them around things and under things.” “We just have to kind of smile and say, ‘Don’t worry, it’s not scary. They just like to take pictures…As a parent, the only thing you can do is try to make sure that they don’t feel it’s a threat, you don’t act like it’s a threat, and you just keep smiling so they don’t feel anything negative.”

I think that’s a good way to look at it. And the kids don’t look too bothered by the cameras either. It also seems that we’ve been seeing a lot of the kids lately, and coincidentally Angelina has a movie to promote!

Angelina Jolie is giving interviews left and right during promotion for “The Tourist“, and is opening up about everything from her kids’ wardrobe choices to plastic surgery. She shares that she hasn’t had any work done and isn’t planning on it, either.

“I haven’t had anything done and I don’t think I will. But if it makes somebody happy then that’s up to them. I’m not in somebody else’s skin to know what makes them feel better about themselves. But I don’t plan to do it myself.

Angelina is pretty content in her life with Brad and the kids:

“I enjoy the work more now because I enjoy life more,” she says. “When you have children the whole world shifts for you. You have these little people that make you laugh and remind you every day of what is important, and you get to be their parent and that’s the most important thing you’ll ever be. Everything else comes from that.”

The actress dishes on the uniqueness of having a date night in Venice (where she filmed The Tourist):

“One night Brad and I went out to dinner and I wanted to get dressed up and wear my heels. By the time we’d finished dinner we had to borrow welly boots because the water had risen so high that you couldn’t walk down the street,” she explained. “But that’s the magic of Venice.”

Apparently Angelina Jolie is about to add the title of Jewellery Designer to her resume. Because she’s not busy enough being a mother of 6, actress, director and humanitarian (and home wrecker if you listen to Chelsea Handler) she’s decided to add her own jewellery collection to the list!

Us Magazine is reporting that Angelina is teaming up with former Asprey CEO Robert Procop to release her own line of jewellery. Procop told WWD;

“Angelina has very classic style,”
“These are pieces she wears herself.”

Unfortunately those pieces won’t be available to you and me. Nope, Procop will sell the pieces exclusively to his network of clients, with all proceeds going directly to Jolie’s charity, the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict. I think that’s wonderful that the proceeds will go to charity, but do you think that exclusive clients will be more apt to buy pieces designed by a celebrity, or would it be better if it was made available to the public?  Would you wear jewellery designed by Angelina Jolie if you had the chance?

I have to agree with Angelina Jolie on this one. Honestly, one of the most talked about things online is why Shiloh Jolie-Pitt has short hair! It really is something that a lot people think a lot about, and Angelina addressed it when she spoke with YOU Magazine.

“I don’t think it’s for the world to interpret anything. She likes to dress like a boy and wants her hair cut like a boy and she wanted to be called John for a while. Some kids wear capes and want to be Superman and she wants to be like her brothers. It’s who she is. It’s been a surprise to us and it’s really interesting, but she’s so much more than that – she’s funny and sweet and pretty. But she does love a tie.”

Shiloh is so young – I can’t believe that people think she should look any way at all! I think it’s great that Angelina and Brad are willing to let their children express themselves. She also went on to say that encouraging all of her children’s originality is important to her.

“Hopefully I’m giving my children the sense that they are deeply loved and deeply safe. At the same time we are hopefully encouraging their individuality as they get to know who they are, and not getting in the way of that. That’s why they are six very strong individuals.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie attended the ‘Megamind‘ premiere in Paris, France last night. You can love them or hate them, but whenever Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt attend a function, it gets a LOT of press.

This wasn’t really a pleasure outing – Brad Pitt voiced one of the ‘Megamind’ characters, ‘Metro Man’. Doing CGI films has to be the easiest way to get paid in Hollywood. Angelina Jolie is famous for her role in ‘Kung Fu Panda’ – which is coming out with a sequel soon enough.


Have you seen ‘Megamind’? It went head to head against ‘Tangled’ but the two movies cater different kind of children. I’ll probably end up seeing it – but when it comes to television.

Back to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt – what do you think about Brad’s leather pants?! I love how they are both ALL in black. This must have been a nice night out for Angie seeing that she has to deal with issues revolving around her UN title.

On wearing black: “As Brad’ll tell you—and my kids—apparently Mommy only wears black,” she says. Because she was a Goth, right? No, she says, it’s utilitarian, it’s practical: “I like to get up so every pair of pants goes with every top, every dress goes with every shoe. I’ve a very tiny closet. Brad’s always laughing at me. Some days, yes, I have the nightgown that looks like a dress that I can sleep in and pick the kids up at school. And maybe take a meeting if I switch into heels.”

Jolie on her complicated life: “I was feeding the babies”—Vivienne and Knox—“while I was reading the script [of Salt],” she remembers, “and I was feeling very round and lovely and Mom-y, and I’d been living in a nightgown for a very, very long time.” Part of the reason she did it was to get back in shape (“practicing the stunts is where you get your strength back”).

On playing strong female characters, specifically in Salt: “I felt it was a weird thing that every time you ask for a strong female role, it’s written in this strange way where it uses sexuality far too much. Or it’s all about being a woman and beating a man. So it wasn’t a surprise to me that the only way to do a strong female role properly was to not have originally written for a woman.”

Continuing to film her directorial debut, Angelina Jolie was spotted on the set of “United Love Story” in Budapest, Hungary today (November 4).

The “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actress got bundled up for the declining temperatures and clutched her script binder and a Starbucks coffee as she chatted with cast and crew.

And though it looked like Ang would be shut out of Bosnia for a shooting location, a rep from the production company has reported that things are back on track.

“Angelina is coming, her arrival depends only on how much longer the shooting in Budapest lasts. For now they are on schedule, so we expect one part of the crew to arrive here in ten days. Our job will be to make Angelina feel at home, just like the first time she was here.” - Hollywood Gossip

Angelina Jolie Visits Pakistan Flood Victims

Angelina Jolie is one Hollywood star who continues to inspire us to make the world a better place! The actress, who also serves as a Goodwill Ambassador to the UNHCR, visited Pakistan on Tuesday to meet with the victims of the devastating floods and help rally aid from the international community.

Jolie, 35, wore a traditional long black robe and a black headscarf during her visit. "I am very moved by them and I hope that I am able to, today and tomorrow, be able to do something to help bring attention to the situation for all of the people in need in Pakistan," she told reporters after meeting with flood victims at a refugee camp in the Jalozai area.

USA Today notes that the floods, which began at the end of July due to heavy monsoon rains, have destroyed villages and towns and have taken the lives of more than 1,700 people. It is estimated that another 17 million people have been effected by the floods and will need aid, and only 64% of the emergency funds have made its way to the struggling country.

While Pakistan continues to wait for aid and donations, the help of famous faces like Jolie will hopefully make a difference in the meantime. Ajay Chhibber, a U.N. assistant secretary general, said he hopes the Oscar winner's visit will have "a very big impact" on bringing attention for help.

"We need more ... well-known figures who can keep the spotlight and focus because people tend to forget internationally," Chhibber told reporters.

That very sentiment was what fellow famous actor/activist George Clooney said during his Emmy speech on Aug. 29 when he received the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award. Clooney urged viewers to "help find a way to keep the spotlight burning on these heartbreaking situations that continue to be heartbreaking long after the cameras go away." The American star cited "the Haitians, the Sudanese, people in the Gulf Coast, Pakistan" as some of the places where people should turn their attention to help. (ivillage)

Angelina reportedly fell in love with Italy while filming her latest epic 'The Tourist' with Johnny Depp.

However, the couple and their children, Maddox, nine, Pax, six, Zahara, five, Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, will continue to use their Los Angeles home as their base.

Meanwhile, the 'Changeling' actress has visited the victims of flooding in Pakistan in a bid to draw attention to the disaster - which has killed 1,500 people and affected a further 20 million.

After meeting survivors of the devastation, she said: "I am very moved by them and I hope that I am able to do something to help bring attention to the situation for all the people in need in Pakistan.

"This is not just a humanitarian crisis, it is an economic and social catastrophe."

Discussing what she saw when she visited homes affected by the floods, she said: "There are people displaced by the floods and they've lost their homes, the water was as high as the ceiling. It's not just a tent that has collapsed, it's a home, it's collapsed, it's mud, it's their entire life.
